MDA Turn-Key Projects
LEVER: MDA was one of the four companies
for the application of KnowNet Knowledge Management methodology. The project
was supported by the European Commision and sponsored by the Turkish
Scientific Research Council.
MOE Industrial Schools Project: This 2.8
million USD project involves the sale, installation and training of PCs for
77 Industrial Schools throughout the Country.
Gima Automation Project: The cost of
this project is 7 million USD. It is concerned with the countrywide
automation of the Gima Stores Chain. The implementation of this project will
enable the stores to have quick access to the necessary correct information
for the efficient management of operations through the use of POS systems.
Ibni Sina Hospital Automation: The cost
of this project is approximately 3 million USD. This project has recently
been started with the automation of the Cardiology Department of the
Hospital.
GATA Military Hospital Information System Design
and Development: MDA as an IBM subcontractor has the full
responsibility for the customization of the IBM MedSolution 6000 Hospital
Information System Package. This military hospital has about 1800 beds and
the project cost is about 1.8 Million USD.
GATA Military Hospital Networking System Project:
MDA as an IBM Contractor finished within 4 months the cabling of
18Km of fiber optic and 38 Km. of FTP cable along with the installation of
networking devices and network management software for this hospital campus.
The project is about 1 Million USD.
GATA Nuclear Medicine: This clinical
information system is directed towards meeting the specific requirements of
this department. The system is integrated to the HIS for data exhange.
MEB İLSİS: As a subcontractor to IBM,
the project covered the networking infrastruture and installation of systems
for National Education Directorates in 14 provinces.
MOE Schools: As a subcontractor to Koç
Sistem, the project covered the networking infrastruture and installation of
systems for 59 Schools.
MOE Open High School Project: This
project covers the administrative functions such as registration, testing,
graduation, and reporting for about 700 000 students. A partial Internet
version is also developed.
GATA Enhancement Project: After being
used for 2 years, the enhancements required was incorporated into the
Hospital Information System.
Mining Department of the Ministry of Energy and
Natural Resources: The cost of this project is approximately
100.000 USD. It is concerned with the implementation of the database
regarding mining areas and permits.
Ankara University Information System Project:
This project is concerned with the delivery and installation of
academic and administrative servers by IBM, and MDA will provide the design
development and training services for several key database applications for
administrative functions.
Turkish Standards Institute (TSE):
Design and development of the MIS system for the Turkish Standards Institute
using object oriented techniques. This 400.000 USD software design and
development project is sponsored by the World Bank.
Distance Learning Center: MDA provided
hardware and software solution for the management of registration and
acceptance process and other administration service support functions of the
Ministry of Education, Distance Learning Center. The project cost is about
150,000 USD.
TSE Gebze Campus: This project involves
the installation of cabling and networking equipment and management
software. The total project cost 860,000.00 USD. Project includes cabling of
5Km of fiber optic and 60 Km. of FTP cable.
Çapa Hospital Information System Modeling:
In this Information System Analysis and Design project, MDA employed and
object oriented approach to design the system for the management of the
hospital functions.
Erdemir Maintenance Management System Project:
The project covers the acquisition of a server, client PCs, DBMS and
the design and development of the maintenance management system covering
periodic and preventive maintenace support functions. The project is
budgeted for about 1.5 Million USD and to be completed in early 1998.
Zübeyde Hanım Hospital Project: This
project involves the delivery of a turn key HIS system for a 200 Bed
Hospital. The Company HIS product, called MEDSIS will be installed to this
hospital covering all major medical and administrative functions. The
project also includes the delivery and installation of a server, DBMS,
communication network, ans PCs.
Erdemir Networking Project: This project
covers the networking of the IT
department with the operational units in the Erdemir steel mill and one of
the first ATM applications in the country.
METU Industrial Engineering Department:
Networking project is the networking
and installation of workgroups in the new departmental building.
Ankara University KVC Hospital: This
networking project is concerned with
the installation of 60 user IBM AS400 system in the hospital.
Cominco Mining Corporation: This project
covers the networking and
installation of workgroup system in the headquarters building of the
company.
Lane Bowler Inc: This project covers the
networking and installation of
workgroup system in the headquarters building of the company.
